Why did I sell and forget it doesn't work in promoting my brand

Or how to build a candle brand if you're an artist, not a marketer.
Let's put the dots on the "I" right away. I am not a marketer in the usual sense of the word. I am an artist, a creator, and a candle maker. My hands smell like wax, not office papers.

But I have 10 years of entrepreneurship and leadership behind me. It was a tough school of life. I built the brand from scratch and I know what it's like to be on the verge of bankruptcy. In business, losses are normal. It is almost inevitable to go into the negative at the start. The main question is not whether you will fall, but whether you have the strength to pull yourself out of it. I could do it. And today I'm going to share how I did it.

Where do your clients live?
When my projects needed saving, I went on social media. Today, my brand is represented everywhere, but Insta remains the No. 1 platform.

Why?
Because this is the only place where the mechanism of organic, free audience search works perfectly. The algorithms themselves find those who are interested in you.

At the same time, I rocked Avito. This platform is now flying up, it is introducing new tools for promoting and finding target audience. Soon there will be a news feed here, where, like on Instagram, it will be possible to post posts and they will be promoted organically according to the interests of users, that is, if a person is interested in candles, flowers or wax purchases, they will come across my publications. And I even hired a separate aviation specialist to keep track of this traffic.

With Telegram, everything is different: advertising there has become almost ineffective, many have left the site due to blocking and restrictions.

Each site has its own rules, but the marketing foundation is the same everywhere
If you don't understand the basics, any hired manager will deceive you. That's why in my Sales Club for creative people, we first lay the foundation, and only then we understand the specifics of the platforms.

The formula for your success: Product + Visual

The promotion base fits into two points:

1.The product
He has to be cool. Do it for yourself! If you don't get high from your candle, no one will buy it.

2.Visual
Your phone is a showcase. You have to broadcast the value of the product through the screen.

But remember: a beautiful picture is just the tip of the iceberg. Success lies in the "tablets" of marketing: the organization of the process and the ability to sell.
What do people buy and why?
In the era of online distance learning, people aren't just buying a product. They buy from a person, his work, history and the meanings that he has laid down.

It is important for the client to "look into the eyes" of the master. It is only when this human contact occurs that something "clicks" and trust is born. Working with meanings is a lot of work. You need to build a funnel and guide the client through the content.

Many people are shy and show only their hands in the frame. Okay— for starters. But it always cuts into reach and loyalty. You should be remembered. There should be "touches" with you, after which the person will feel sympathy for your business. You have to evoke emotion.

Salvation for those who "don't have Pinterest"

I know the main pains of the masters in promoting their own products:


• There is no time;

• No expensive interior;

• No sunlight (hello, northern cities!);

• There is no way to put on makeup and dress up for the shoot.

• There is no skill to make beautiful product layouts.

The main mistake of a beginner: Sold and forgot
And speaking about it in more detail, this is the most painful loss. Remember: 80% of your income lies in your existing customer base, and only 20% is brought in by new people.

Those who have already bought from you, they trust you, of course, provided that the product and service have paid off. That is why it is so important to monitor the quality, price-quality ratio, and provide high-quality and fast service.

But if trust has arisen, then the buyer's love for your product and for you as a creator and personality will not keep you waiting. He will come back again, tell his friends and relatives, which will bring more sales, money and, consequently, the growth of your brand. Working with loyalty, repeated touches, and communication is what turns a one—time purchase into a long-term business.
